Flank and Airtable, as a deconstructed SaaS app

Flank and Airtable, as a deconstructed SaaS app

Becky and Ben saved thousands using AirTable, Flank, and some light software engineering to replicate key features they needed out of Affinity.

Affinity, the top-of-the-line CRM platform for venture capitalists, has a price tag of 7 figures. Smaller VCs can't afford it, so they use AirTable or spreadsheets instead. That's fine for storing the data, but Ben and Becky found themselves doing lot of manual work — data entry, enrichment, search — the sort of automations that make Affinity a valuable product.

So Becky decided to replicate the important automations from Affinity. She enlisted a consultant to build automations for their manual tasks— scraping startup data, enriching founder profiles, keyword search. Then the consultant pointed Flank at the code he wrote, and our platform created a simple admin page for each of the automations.

AirTable + Consultant + Flank = Affinity. In a week. For 1/100th the cost.
